I was introduced to this product about 5 years ago. I was told it helped with stress and the symptoms of stress. For me, it does. I HIGHLY recommend it!

I must say that I take and expriment with many herbs. I really only notice that Holy Basil works when I run out of it. Once in a while, I forget to place my odred in time and therefore am off of it for a few days. The way I feel quickly reminds me that I should have ordered it sooner. It is not going to give you an extreme mood boost that you would notice immediately. I call it more "smoothing out the rough edges". It is meant for calming not erasing depression or other more serious things that you may need to see a physician (Eastern or Western) about. I would also give it time, more than 30 days. Some bodies require a longer time to make the adjustment. I have my mother who is very skeptical and my sister who will try anything both hooked.

This product is remarkable. A miracle drug, indeed! The following two scenarios are circumstantial at best, but they lead me to believe in the potency of New Chapter's product.
My dad has been having issues with the muscles on his hands. Traditional Western medicine has been clueless about finding the cure for his problem.
He tried Zyflamend 120 sgels and they helped somewhat. I pointed out that one of the main ingredients of Zyflamend is Holy Basil. He started taking these Holy Basil tablets instead of Zyflamed and has noticed significant improvement. In fact, there's more improvement in his muscles with the Basil than there was with Zyflamed. The description on the bottle says that Holy Basil is a mood elevator. This is certainly the case for my dad - when his hand doesn't hurt, his mood is greatly improved! The bottle's recommendations are two capsules a day but he found that each softgel is good for 4-5 hours of "healing" time for him.
A few days ago, my mom had a problem with her right heel throbbing with pain. Dad suggested she partake in the bottle of Holy Basil. Sure enough, the pain went away after she took only two softgels.

I have not noticed any type of boost from taking this product. It does not leave any unpleasant aftertaste or gastric upset, but I didn't have any noticeable mood improvement from taking it consistently.

I honestly tried this stuff with an open mind. And that's just what I was left with. I didn't notice any difference. No stomach or bowel issues. No mood changes. Nothing! Oh well!
